This project emerged when my brother immersed himself in the trade show preparation process, from scheduling meetings with exhibitors to managing post-show follow-ups. He rapidly identified the inefficiencies and challenges inherent in this process, notably in coordinating meetings, initiating conversations with exhibitors beforehand, and organizing the abundance of information gathered during and after the event.

Problems

The main challenge within the current trade show preparation process lies in its complexity and lack of streamlined organization. The multitude of tasks involved, from scheduling meetings with exhibitors to managing post-show follow-ups, often leads to confusion and inefficiency.

The events screen allows you to view past and upcoming events, along with details about participating companies and their products giving full trade show control.

Messaging is a constant feature across all app screens, enabling you to initiate and maintain conversations, and fostering relationships.

No Tap Schedule

The app features a common calendar screen, allowing you to view your schedule for the entire month, and a home screen providing details about your upcoming meetings.

 
 
 

OUTCOME

Final Design

The focus was on developing an intuitive platform that simplifies the trade show experience. Through iterative design and user feedback, the interface and functionality were refined to ensure seamless navigation and accessibility. This redesigned platform aims to optimize the trade show journey for exhibitors and visitors alike, facilitating efficient scheduling, productive networking, and meaningful interactions before, during, and after the event.

 
 
 

Event QR Code

After purchasing their tickets, users can simply scan the QR code provided in the confirmation email, and they will be seamlessly directed to the event page within the app. From there, they will be guided through four essential steps to streamline their trade show journey: selecting their interests, choosing desired exhibitors, generating their calendars, and creating their personalized itinerary. This streamlined process ensures that users make the most out of their trade show experience, from start to finish.

 
 
 

Companies Selection

Once users have selected their interests, they will be presented with a carousel featuring all participating companies. They have three intuitive actions at their fingertips. If a company doesn't align with their interests, they can simply skip them with a tap. For companies they're keen on visiting, they can add them to their calendar to seamlessly integrate their booth into their itinerary. And for those they want to engage with immediately, they can start a conversation right away to ask questions and align on the information they're seeking. This user-friendly approach ensures that users maximize their time at the trade show by focusing on the exhibitors most relevant to them.

 
 
 

Events Page

The Events Page on our trade show app provides users with a comprehensive list of all the events they have tickets for. With just a tap, users can easily access more details about each event, including schedules, locations, and descriptions. Additionally, users can seamlessly navigate to the details of participating companies by tapping on their respective listings. This feature enables users to gather essential information about exhibitors and their offerings, empowering them to plan their trade show experience effectively.

 
 
 

Streamlining Time Management

Efficient time management is crucial, which is why on the home screen, users will find only their immediate meetings, ensuring they stay focused on short-term commitments. The calendar screen provides a broader view of their schedule. In either view, accessing detailed information about the companies they are meeting with is just a tap away, enabling users to effortlessly review who they'll be speaking with, their company background, and the products or services they offer. This ensures that they are well-prepared and can make the most of every interaction during the trade show.

 
 
 

Personalized Itinerary

Once users have selected their interests and chosen the companies they wish to visit and meet with, the app automatically generates their schedules and creates personalized itineraries. This feature ensures that users have the most efficient schedule and itinerary to navigate the trade show smoothly and efficiently.

 
 
 

Constant Control

At any time, users can modify their selected interests and chosen companies which would automatically update their calendar and personalized itinerary. This ensures that users always have the most accurate and up-to-date schedule, empowering them to navigate the trade show with confidence and efficiency. Whether it's adding new interests, removing outdated preferences, or adjusting meeting schedules, the app puts users in control of their trade show experience every step of the way.

Trade shows serve as vital networking opportunities, and our app enhances this experience by providing the tools necessary to forge meaningful connections and foster lasting relationships within the industry. The app features a built-in messaging screen, allowing users to maintain conversations with exhibitors and fellow attendees. This feature facilitates communication before, during, and after the event, enabling users to establish valuable connections and keep them alive over time.
